Provocative and dark, I am inspired by nature and the human spirit. There is a romantic darkness to us all. I love to bring that darkness to the surface. As humans, we have so many emotions. Society loves to show the happiness, colors, smiles...when in fact the beauty and realness sometimes lies in the grey moments...which you can fall in love with. Even though my paintings come across as dark, there is happiness behind them. I am a simple, organic abstract painter and work in all mediums but mostly acrylics and sometimes bringing in walnut oils, dies, and pastels. The process comes to me when I am in front of the canvas...so I really never know.
